Special Events / Fundraising:

Volunteer Kamloops Dinner Fundraiser!!: Volunteers will visit places of business and request donations for the upcoming dinner fundraiser. They should be friendly, and not afraid to approach people. Volunteers should be 19+. For more information, contact 250-819-7885. Volunteer Kamloops is undertaking fundraising to continue to fund its operations in the community. On April 23, 2017 the Board of Directors are hosting a dinner from 5:00-9:00pm at “On the Rocks Pub and Grill. “We would be truly pleased if your business would be able to give a monetary donation or provide a prize for our Silent Auction, 50/50, etc. at the event. Tickets are $15.00 each and are available at Volunteer Kamloops 705 Seymour Street, Tuesday to Friday 9:00 – 4:00.

Boogie The Bridge is looking for Volunteers! Thursday April 27th-Sunday April 30th. Volunteer at the race package table, team table, set up expo, park set up and takedown. Canadian Cancer Society Daffodil Campaign!!: Pin Distribution Volunteers - If you have a car and can make once a week stops during April into a few retail outlets near your work, school or home, a pin distribution volunteer could be a good position for you. These volunteers should have access to a vehicle, and have good communication skills. Canvasser Volunteers – Volunteers will donate a few hours of their time to canvass their neighbourhood, workplace, friends and family or online in support of the Daffodil Month Campaign. Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s: May 7th – 8:00 – 12:00pm. Volunteers for the Registration Table, Host/Hostess Table, and Hobby Photographer – take photos of the event activities, and assist at Team reserved Tables. Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association: May 12th – 13th 2017. Volunteers for KTRA Food Truck Festival Fundraiser. MS Society of Canada: Sunday May 28, 2017. Volunteers for Event Setup and Route Marshals. Assisting with event setup (tents, tables and chairs), Standing at designated stops along the route cheering on participants. Please call 250-314-0773.

Canadian Mental Health Fundraiser!!: Ride Don’t Hide – Ending the Stigma Around Mental Illness – Volunteers who have a good work ethic, integrity, and the ability to work independently or with others are wanted for the Ride Don’t Hide event, held on Sunday, June 25th. People from the community that see the value of speaking up around mental illness and help break the stigma while raising important dollars for community education programing at the CMHA Clubhouse are wanted. Arnica Artist Run Centre seeking Volunteers for their upcoming AGM Wednesday April 26th at 6:00pm-7:00pm. Volunteers will provide feedback on activities, help acknowledge the contributions of our volunteers and community partners, renew membership to elect Board members, share talents, bring a friend. Phoenix Centre: Clipboard Conversation Canvasser – Canvassers will work in teams of 2 and collect information from community members by having one-on-one conversations. MS Society of Canada : Friendly Visitor Program: volunteers needed for Friendly Visitor. Visiting individuals with MS who are living in community care facilities in the Kamloops area. Overlander Residential Care: Overlander 40th Anniversary: Special Event Volunteer Needed. Assisting with commemorative display, decorating, creating displays to celebrate 40th Anniversary. Volunteer Requirements are Reliable. Responsible. Please call. 250-554-5569.

Canadian Red Cross: Client Services coordinator: Reporting to the Team lead this position provides direct support to in-person and telephone inquiries from the public with a primary responsibility to provide loans and accept returns of health equipment. Call. 250-491-8443. Ext.210

CFBX Spring Volunteer Drive Starts 17th April –May 1st 2017: The need energetic and creative volunteers to help out on air and off air for their radio station. Volunteers do not need to be TRU students to get involved. It is an excellent place to build up job skills in audio editing, interviewing writing, organization skills and computer user.
