The Peewee A River Dogs went 3-0 through the Zones hosted in Kamloops, clinching the top seed for Provincials from the Interior.

Highlights:
The River Dogs won this game with patience at the plate and speed on the bases. The River Dogs drew 16 walks and had 45 stolen bases. Ethan Martin got Kamloops off to a good start by throwing 3 innings while only giving up 4 runs on 4 hits and 5 walks with 5 strikeouts. Payton Dams-Ryder made a great catch in left getting Kamloops out of a base loaded jam in top of the 3rd. Mastin Hooper, Evan Morrow and Anthony Ibbetson stifled Summerland’s offence with a fantastic 6-3-2 double play in the top of the 4th inning.

The River Dogs relief pitchers shined in this game. Noah Sanders and Anthony Ibbetson combined for 3 and 2/3 innings of shut out ball allowing only 3 hits with 2 walks and 9 strikeouts. Mastin Hooper set the defensive tone laying out for 2 amazing catches.

Highlights:
The River Dogs got down early in this offensive battle, but battled all game on the strength of Maguire Williams at the plate. Maguire went 4 for 4 with 2 singles, 2 doubles with 9 RBI’s. Joshua Owens came in and chewed up 1 1/3 valuable innings while giving up only two runs on 1 hit, allowing Kamloops to bring in their closer. Tino Dziba shut down Salmon Arm’s offence in the 6th gunning out a base runner, from behind the plate, trying to steal 3rd. Noah Sanders walked off Salmon Arm by driving in Akaash Bachhal, whose great speed allowed him to score from second, for the game winning run.

First tournament game for the Peewee AA Riverdogs. Great pitching effort from Ryan Petrie, Tyler Dhaliwal and Layne Waugh. Parker Robertson went 3 for 3 at the plate.

Second of the round robin games. Great pitching effort from Nolan Foster, Parker Robertson, Dreyden Bhe, and Bradly Boudreau. Tyler Dhaliwal went 2 for 3 at the plate.

Game 3
COMBA (Kelowna) 9 vs Kamloops 12
Third round robin game. Great pitching effort from Dreyden Bhe, Jaden Huffman, Squirt Domenichelli, Joss Rossen and Layne Waugh. Layne Waugh went 3 for 4 at the plate

Bantam AAA

Matthiew Coxon’s Home Run helps Kamloops AAA Bantam RiverDogs achieve a spot in The Provincials taking place in Richmond July 27-30.

Luke Petrie was throwing heat against Nanaimo beating them 4-1 and Lochlan Scholefield was dialed in against Victoria beating them 9-5.

Austin Coyle,Nolan Austin,Carter Sauer,Nic Bradley,Keyan Orchard,Jared Sucro,and Mitchell Coxon all came across Home Plate to assist with the wins.

Midget AAA

The Kal Tire RiverDogs got two big wins against West Kelowna.
