KYSA Select Girls U13 Blaze Blue

On Saturday, June 9th, the Kamloops U13 Select Girls Blaze Blue team battled against the Shuswap Football Club on home turf at McArthur Island. Salmon Arm got off to a quick start and scored three goals in the first half. Kamloops began to push back with a goal by Emily Piroddi in the first half. The second half began with Shuswap having a lead of 3 – 1. The second half was an exciting battle that saw a goal from each team. Kamloops goal by Emily Tinney. The final score of the game was Shuswap 4 – Kamloops 2. Keepers for the game were Sophie Hinds and Grace McDonald.

On Sunday, June 10th, the Blaze Blue travelled to Beasley Park in Lake Country to play Kelowna United. The rain let up while the game was on. The first half ended with no goals from either team. Kamloops keeper Sophie Hinds helped keep the Kelowna team from gaining any advantage. The second half of the game brought about a Kamloops goal by Grace McDonald. The only goal of the game afforded Kamloops the win!!
