The KYSA Blaze U15 Girls Selects fought through rain and hail to defeat a determined Shuswap Selects team in TOYSL league play in Salmon Arm on Sunday, May 14. Kamloops struck first on a goal by Daisy Dalke but Shuswap pulled even by the end of the first half. The Blaze regained the lead in the second half on another goal by Dalke before Salmon Arm again answered with their second goal of the match. Both teams worked hard to get the go ahead goal throughout the half but in the end it was a last minute shot by Fiona Brisco that beat the Salmon Arm Keeper and Ali Onstine made sure that there was no doubt that the Blaze had their third goal to clinch the match and maintain their divisional lead. Kila Pigeon backstopped the KYSA Blaze U15 Girls Selects in net to improve their record to 5 wins, 0 losses and 1 tie in TOYSL league play.
