KCKC's Michael Lanyon will be representing Canada in his race tomorrow at the ICF World Canoe and Kayak Marathon Championships in Prado Vila Verde Portugal.

Day One: Argo Road Maintenance BC Cup #2, U16 + BC Championships and Nationals Qualifier

BC's top Sprint Canoe and Kayak Athletes have arrived in Kamloops to race on the course at Shumway Lake. Day one of the Argo Road Maintenance BC Cup #2 & BC Championships starts today. The day's events will be mostly races for U16 and older.

KCKC Athletes Compete at Junior National Team Trials in Montreal

Two Kamloops Sprint Kayak athletes were recently in Montreal to compete at the Junior National Team Trials held at Montreal's Olympic Basin. Aiden Tabata and Spencer Robinson (both 18) competed in the individual 200 and 500 meter sprints and with Robinson also racing in the 1000 meter event.

Lloyd George Class Takes 2nd Annual City Grade 7 Dragon Boat Title

On June 15th Lloyd George Elementary earned the title for City Champions for Grade 7 Dragon Boat. The school team bested 4 other teams to take home the Grade 7 Championship Cup. This was the second year for the event. Last year's winner was Summit Elementary.

KCKC to Host 2nd Annual Grade 7 Dragon Boat Championships June 15th

The Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club will be hosting the BC Marathon Canoe and Kayak Championships at Shumway Lake May 19th. The event is also a qualifier for the International Canoe Federation World Marathon Championships being held in Prado Vila Verde, Portugal this September.

Four Kamloops Sprint Kayak Atheletes Named to Team BC

Four Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club atheltes were selected to Canoe Kayak BC’s provincial team this past week. Michael Lanyon (18), Spencer Robinson (17), Stanley Netheron (16) and Matao Buist (16) were named to the team after the Provincial Training Camp at False Creek, Vancouver last weekend.
