KCKC to Host 2nd Annual Grade 7 Dragon Boat Championships June 15th

June 7th will be an exciting day for 125 of the City's Grade 7 Students who will be competing for the Kamloops Grade 7 Dragon Boat Cup title.

Qualifier for ICF World Canoe / Kayak Marathon Championships to be held in Kamloops May 19th.

The Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club will be hosting the BC Marathon Canoe and Kayak Championships at Shumway Lake May 19th. The event is also a qualifier for the International Canoe Federation World Marathon Championships being held in Prado Vila Verde, Portugal this September.

Four Kamloops Sprint Kayak Atheletes Named to Team BC

Four Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club atheltes were selected to Canoe Kayak BC’s provincial team this past week. Michael Lanyon (18), Spencer Robinson (17), Stanley Netheron (16) and Matao Buist (16) were named to the team after the Provincial Training Camp at False Creek, Vancouver last weekend.

On the evening of November 1st Private (or at least soon to be) Isaiah Buist spent the last lake practice of the season with his fellow KCKC team mates. Isaiah leaves us this week to begin a career with the Canadian Armed Forces.

Local Athletes to Race Team Lead by Olympian Mark de Jonge
