Qualifier for ICF World Canoe / Kayak Marathon Championships to be held in Kamloops May 19th.

The Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club will be hosting the BC Marathon Canoe and Kayak Championships at Shumway Lake May 19th. The event is also a qualifier for the International Canoe Federation World Marathon Championships being held in Prado Vila Verde, Portugal this September.

The BC Marathon Championships are open to all ages and wide variety of boat classes. Distances will be between 12 Km for U12 to 28 Km for some of the Senior Men’s divisions. Qualifiers for the ICF worlds will include Junior (U18), U23 and Masters divisions for individual and pairs for Canoe and Kayak.
