Kamloops U13 Girls KYSA Blaze Blue Undefeated in Slurpee Cup

The Kamloops U13 Girls Blaze Blue remained undefeated during the annual Slurpee Cup Weekend, May 19-May 21
The first game was played on Saturday, May 19th at Mac Island, Field 6 vs. Williams Lake Storm. Keeper was Grace McDonald. The score at halftime was 3-0 for Kamloops and the final score was 4-0 Kamloops, with McDonald earning the shutout. Kamloops’ goals were scored by Emily Piroddi, Lolita Persad, Meriya Cartier, and Ava Trotta. Game MVP was Emily Piroddi.

The girls played their second game on Sunday, May 20th at Cottonwood, vs. North Shore Girls Impact. Keeper for Kamloops was Kalie Saari who had an outstanding game, with many shots on net. The score at half time was 0 – 0. Final score was Kamloops 2 – North Shore Girls Impact 1. Kamloops goals were scored by Emily Tinney and Sage Palmer. Game MVP was Emily Tinney.

The third game of the tournament was played on Monday, May 21at NorKam Secondary, vs. Prince George. Keeper for the first half of the game was Sophie Hinds with Grace McDonald taking over for the second half of the game. The score at halftime was Kamloops 1 – Prince George 0. The final score was Kamloops 2 – Prince George 1.
Kamloops goals were scored by Kalie Saari and Olivia Teale. Game MVP was Olivia Teale.

Kamloops final game of the tournament was also on Monday, May 21 at Mac Island, field 7 vs. Richmond Red Rebels. Keeper for Kamloops was Kalie Saari. The score at halftime was Kamloops 2 – Richmond 0 and the final score was Kamloops 3 – Richmond 0. Kamloops goals were scored by Olivia Teale, Sophie Gregson and Sierra Thiessen. Game MVP was Jayden Hall
