U16 Girls win TOYSL U16/U17 league

The Kamloops U16 Girls’ clinched top spot in the TOYSL U16/U17 division with a 1-0 win in their final league game on Sunday, June 10 against the Shuswap U17 team. They finished the league with 7 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie.

The game was scoreless at half-time but Kamloops took the lead in the second half with a goal from Daisy Dalke. Shuswap was held scoreless for the rest of the game which earned a shut-out for the Kamloops goalkeeper, Sadie Moyer.

Kamloops will play Kelowna on June 16 and 17 to determine the top ranking going into provincials (which take place July 5-8 in Kamloops).
