The Kamloops Youth Soccer Association’s High Performance soccer camps featuring coaches from Stoke City FC from England start Tuesday, August 7th at McArthur Island.

The camps––featuring coaches Mick Murphy, Steve Chamberlain and Darren Beech––are scheduled for August 7-10. The camp for girls aged 10-15 will run from 9:00am to 11:30am; the camp for boys in the same age bracket will run from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.

There is still room in each camp and still time to register!

Any player who signs-up for either camp featuring the Stoke City coaches will receive an Umbro deluxe back pack, a special KYSA/Stoke City jersey and a chance to win lots of prizes from the KYSA’s sponsors.

This is the 6th year that the KYSA is bringing professional coaches from Stoke City FC to teach at their HP soccer camps.

“I cannot stress enough how valuable an experience this will be for our prospects, development and select level players,” says KYSA Executive Director, Keith Liddiard. “We go to a lot of trouble and expense to bring these coaches to Kamloops hoping that they will have a positive effect on our keener, talented players.”

The KYSA’s Summer Soccer Camp program is sponsored by Hansport, the soccer specialists in North Kamloops, Umbro Canada, Kamloops This Week, CHNL, and The Printing Place.

Anyone seeking more information can visit the KYSA web site at kysa.net or contact the association’s office on McArthur Island at 250-376-2750. On-line registration is available for all the KYSA’s soccer programs.
